Passengers travelling between Derbyshire and Greater Manchester could be affected by strike action beginning next Tuesday.

Staff at some Bee Network bus operators – First, Metroline and Stagecoach – have announced planned strike action to run from Tuesday 30 September to Thursday 2 October (inclusive).

The services impacted in Derbyshire will be the Stagecoach operated 358, which runs between Hayfield and Stockport and Metroline's 237, the service linking Glossop, Stalybridge and Ashton.

Other services into Greater Manchester affected by the strike include ones originating in West Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cheshire East. Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is encouraging everyone in the city-region and in other neighbouring areas who may be impacted to check before they travel and leave plenty of time when making essential journeys.

A dedicated webpage has been created listing all affected services, ticket acceptance details and other travel advice. Passengers can also call the Bee Network Contact Centre on 0161 244 1000 (extended opening hours during strike days). As many TfGM staff as possible will be at key locations, such as interchanges, to help bus passengers.
