The bus stops at Ripley Market Place are back in action following six weeks’ of reconstruction, just in time for last minute Christmas shopping.

This means that the bus services which were temporarily displaced to other stops on Grosvenor Road and High Street have returned to normal operations, including routes where applicable.

The services which were affected are:

• 9.1 to Mansfield.
• 9.3 to Mansfield.
• 90 to Mansfield.
• 141 to Matlock.
• 147 to Belper..
• 148 to Alfreton.
• 148a to Alfreton.
• ‘rainbow one’ to Nottingham.
• ‘the comet’ to Chesterfield.

There will be further improvements in the new year to establish the electrical connections and and install Real-Time Information (RTI) displays which provide up-to-the-minute arrival times of all buses arriving at specific stops. 

Over 400 of these have been installed through the county with the roll out to be continued troughout next year.
